In honour of u/worried19 joining these woods, I've decided to go with a song she's likely to already know. (Or enjoy if she hasn't heard it yet.)

There are a lot of lyrics in this one that I enjoy but here's just a few parts:

"They can take my heart, they can take my breath when they pry it from my cold dead chest."

"It's our world, they can never have it."

"We're rising up, up, up, up, up. Love is the answer."

Over the months, Worried and I have had many chats about hopes, pains, desires for bridging peoples, and a longing for a better world.

My love for fam (humanity) has always been fierce. It's one of the things that has made me "too much". But I have and continue to make sacrifices for it. Sometimes, that's meant hurting the feelings of people I care very much about. Other times, it's meant things like making an ass of myself by spotlighting my more dramatic nature with posts such as these.

All too often, it's meant isolation. Back home, some of us jokingly refer to this as the "That Asshole" role in community/society. We joke because it's one of the ways we can vent about the isolation that is part and parcel of being in that type of role without actually having to be vulnerable. Probably not the healthiest way of dealing with it but is what it is.

Last night, I had a really fun chat with a friend about a number of things. Had some good laughs talking about being dramatic and different creative endeavours. Lol She's brilliant, a gifted artist and one of the people I am so grateful to have met in all of this. In all my years, I've never known so many mind-blowingly unique, passionate, and gifted people. It's meant a lot to me to see this group evidencing a willingness to come together and work on social bonding.

Thanks for putting up with my idiosyncrasies, fam. Looking forward to seeing more of your own. 🫡🫶🏼
