CFA advice needed

hey seniors, i really need good guidance from someone who is doing or has cleared cfa l1 while pursuing bcom hons

i was planning to give ca foundation jan attempt just cuz of the fomo ig since everyone was doing it and didn't wanna waste time just doing bcom and also cuz I can't give cfa rn

but now I'm thinking there's no point doing ca cuz I don't even want to and my main goal has always been cfa so now I'm thinking of focusing on it fully.

so can you please tell when is the earliest I can give cfa L1 exam? i'm a first year student, joined college in august this year

and also when should I start preparing for it??
