Saxophone gear

I got a yanagisawa and what looked like a plain black mouthpiece at a glance in 2007 for £1500 and paid £50 for a geoff Lawton 7*BB. A few years later I found out lawton are quite highly regarded and had found a bargain for £50. I didnt know what the sax was other than yanagisawa and had been told the sax was a student model because of the 2 tone key and body.

Today I found out the sax is a 1981/1982 T800 Elimona and the mouthpiece is a florida link no usa signature slant in an 8! I nearly gave the mouth piece away about 10 years ago! Clueless!

I have a feeling I never bought any other tenor or mouthpieces because I learnt to play on these and thought any short falls are down to me not the gear. I have always been happy with my sound and glad im not in that trap of chasing.

Does anyone else play any of these? Or anyone still playing on their first sax 20 years later?
