SNW Martian Episode <--> Distant Origin Theory?

So we all know in the voyager episode the distant origin theory said that the Voth were descendants of the Hydrasaur (or something like that).

The whole martian episode I watched last night I kept looking for any references regarding the Voth, like for example did the Martians take a colony ship of dinosaurs somewhere off world, were there dinosaurs that were smart, etc. There were no explicit callouts here.

The only thing I can think of was that the insectoid species had the ship crashed on earth and I think #1 says that it was a colony ship. Did the insectoids pick up a bunch of dinosaurs and take them on an interstellar flight?

Was there any connection here that I'm missing? They over explained everything else so I'm suprised if I missed something.
