Is using the shoe once a week considered frequent and I don't need to worry about it become dust?

So, I just got my first sneaker, the Adidas NY 90. It's my birthday gift too. Probably not so pricey sneaker for you guys.

I'm working, and it's 6 days a week, and usually that 1 day off I would go out, since I just got my sneaker today, I need to wait until this Sunday to wear it.

So, I'm scared if it's gonna turn to dust or something if I don't wear it daily.. I also don't find the silica gel inside the box, which is weird, that thing usually the basic finds. Should I buy and throw it inside the box?

Is using it once a week considered good enough? I mean daily enough to not be scared of it turning to duat. Right now the shoe I kept in the box back. My work place did allow me to wear any shoes, but, I just used my old shoe, because the walk to get there is so not clean.

Sorry for the many questions, there might be a guide to look at already, but I couldn't find the specific one like mine.
