The Cremini (fungus) and Frutax (Flora) lines both start from these two ancestors, Plantarubra humulis (Red Porto) and Profundapori pascens (White Porto).

The Red Portos are usually found in groups in the shallowest areas of the equatorial oceans, unlike their ancestors, the column coral, which stay lower in the ocean near hydrothermal vents. They have excess red-shifted chlorophyll to increase the photosynthesis that takes place. Their digestive acids are nearly gone in most individuals. Their eggs are slightly more buoyant than the water around them, so the eggs that land on a suitable terrain grow closer to the surface of the ocean, though sometimes they land too close to the surface and die from dehydration or bleaching.

The White Portos are usually seen as the brother species of the Red Portos, even though they live at opposite elevations. They act more like giant isopods and fungi as decomposers than producers or consumers. They also still feed off hydrothermal vents just like their ancestors. They have evolved enlarged pores on the top side as well. Most of their diet is eggs, just like the Egg-eating Coral, but the rest is made out of marine snow. They have lost all chlorophyll, as it is useless deep underwater.
