20F confused about 23M who pursued me for 5 days at some residential camp but hasn’t initiated after we got back

im 20F and he is 23M. I met this guy at a 5day camp where we were assigned the same group. We didn’t rly talk much initially but towards the end he out of nowhere started showing a lot of interest in me.

He approached my friend multiple times during those days asking about me, whether I was single. And asking alot more abt me!!
He also started making efforts to come talk to me n interact with me n I was starting to feel like he was genuinely pursuing me n I liked his vibe too.

On the last day we exchanged Instagram before the camp ended.( he asked for it)

I got back home yest, n so far he hasn’t initiated anything. I posted a story too n he viewed it but didn’t reply or msg me yet!!

Ik it’s literally only been one day so I might be overthinking🥲
But i genuinely don’t understand why someone wud make that much effort for 5 days, ask my friend about me repeatedly, n then not initiate once we’re back home.

Cud he be shy/waiting for me to make the first move?
Did he expect me to msg him?
Or was he only interested because we were together in that environmbt or moment!!!????

I don’t want to msg him that instantly n make it seem like im chasing him but I also don’t want to miss a chance n regret later on if hes genuinely waiting for me.

What do you guys think his intention was n what would you do in my situation?

TL;DR: 20F met 23M at a 5day camp. He repeatedly asked my friend about me if I was single and made a lot of effort to interact with me during the last few days. We exchanged Instagram on the last day. I got home yesterday, he viewed my story but hasn’t initiated. Is one day too soon to judge n should I wait or msg first?
