Need some advice…..[23F]

Hey everyone,

If you can give me real advice on what I should learn from this experience or maybe what I did wrong.

I [23F] haven’t “dated” before, been really focused on my education and trying to become a doctor. But, there happened to be one guy who requested to follow me. He is the same age as me [23M] but going into his second year of med.

He liked my story and then a few days later asked if I am this country and that’s where we started talking, we also exchanged numbers etc.

Then a week and a half in, he wanted to see me in real life. So I accepted but that’s where I feel like it went south! He asked if we can meet in the middle and I said like in country roads 😭 and he said he will come to me and I said ok.

So our “meet up” was suppose to happen on a Sunday but on Saturday. He said he had something on Sunday so can we do today. I was like umm ok, I felt a little anxious.

After that he kept updated me like he left his house etc, I was 30 minutes late to the meet up. Because of my sister and I told him that. We sat down and idk why but my friends told me like don’t eat a lot infront of him like eat a few pieces so I did just that. I was sipping water and he kept looking at me and I was looking at anywhere except him😭don’t judge and he looked behind a few times to see what I was looking at. I was a mess 🥺

Then, we talked a bit and I was so shy that I was covering my face while chewing idk what my friends told me to do. Anyways he paid, then we went for dessert and I offered to pay and we had a good convo I think it was a bit awkward and sometimes silent. I told him if he wanted to try my dessert and so I picked up with a fork and he said like u wanna feed me, I told him no you pick up the fork and feed urself. 😂and he asked if I wanted some of his and I was like no.

Then he wanted to stay longer which idk why, I was a disaster. But we sat and then I kinda started opening up I guess and laughing bc he was funny making fun of ppl at work etc.

Then he offered to drop me off, but I said it’s ok bc he had a longer journey so I gave him like a man hug and left. He told me to text him when I get home.

Then he said he enjoyed it the “date” and I said same, then silence I had an engagement party the next day and I posted on my story he viewed it twice but didn’t like it. I had to start the conversation again and he didn’t really keep the convo going.

Another thing to point out, he didn’t compliment me at any point in the “date” so a week goes by with out us talking and woke up this morning with a unfollow and removed me as a follower.

He comes from a family of doctors and he is very smart, which I really liked and how he made me laugh. Idk maybe I did ruin it.

Like what could have been the reason? Is it because of my actions? He was a bit dry after the “date” how we ended our convo before the one week no talking was him liking my messages.
