Revolut Inquiry?

Looking for advice lads, Whats the story with Revolut, I don’t normally have a password on my phone but was in hospital for a week so installed one. Back home, removed the password and a day later, trying to check my balance, a screen tells me to secure my phone to unlock my Revolut app. Firstly, how did they know my settings, I gave them no permission to access anything, and secondly, how is it any of their business what my settings are .
