Relationship of 1 year - NEED ADVICE

So I started dating my boyfriend a year ago and everything was going well until , a month back he switched his job and now doesn’t have the time to text me. He texts me like for 30 mins max during the day and that too between intervals. I know he’s not making up any excuses and is genuinely busy at work and also after coming back home. But I feel really lonely and I had also addressed this to him. He apologised for not being available when I needed him and said he’d try to text me more. But it’s still feels the same and he has not tried to text me more. What do I do? Am I simply trying to be selfish by not being undertandable or is this a genuine feeling?
