Cameras down Ridge Road

Why are there 100+ cameras outside the property and all down the street for about half a mile in both directions? I can’t be the only one who finds it strange that there’s multiple posts with 10+ cameras on each, with some of them even facing the same direction. What are they hiding? To my knowledge the area isn’t a really bad part of town in my time living off Ridge, I’m just so confused why anyone would need this.
