Atmos files not playing w/internal player

Why is any TV Show file with Atmos badging not actually playing Atmos? No Atmos tv show works through the internal player, but movies work. When I use VLC as an external player, Atmos will work. Dolby Vision is not a supported format in VLC though.

I would prefer to use the internal player from Nuvio. Why can’t I get it to work? I have searched up and down this subreddit for suggestions, but nothing works.

Using a Shield TV 2019, Sonos Arc Passthrough, and LG Oled.

Thanks 🙏
