How to actually play endgame

I'm embarrassed to admit but I've been playing since release and this is the first season that I've actually pushed into the endgame and not give up or make new character.

While I can technically play and and follow the guide I struggle with mechanics of running maps, crafting and every other system that isn't "just playing"

I'll figure the crafting at some other time so today's question is how to efficiently push the maps?

When I get waystones I just alchemy them, slap 2 exalts for 6 mods, check the price and if it's below 100ex I run it, if it's above I sell it. Same with tablets I keep the abyss, temple and ritual since I like the mechanics sell the breach because I don't and delirium because I don't get the mechanics.

I tried running the expensive tablets but I don't get valuable gear(or more likely I suck at recognising value and don't know how to craft)
