Not my brand I’m running sophisticated ppc/account management for this brand

Did around 298k in ordered product sales for july, spend around 25.4k against 56.8k in ad sales

I think these insights will help you get to the next level in your PL journey; tried and tested ;) but first here’s how to use Claude to level up as a Seller:

download Claude on your desktop, buy credits, it ends up cheaper than most of the tools you’re already paying for. go into Claude cowork and build a tool with a prompt like this

I’m launching a product like this one (insert main competitor link). Create a profit modelling tool to help me plan out my margins given different variables like price, amount spend on ads and units sold

you’ll have a tool in front of you that lets you plug in different values and see exactly what profit you’re left with. now to get Amazon’s actual data into this tool
cheapest and easiest way is connecting Claude to mirror a csv you regularly update for your own use, a lot of sellers already keep data in excel and this works fine, Claude pulls values and trends straight from it. make sure to have it add this to artifacts, it’s basically a tool library available in the desktop version

the other way is more technical but easy for developer friends, connect Claude to an mcp where you store your amazon data. directly hitting amazon’s apis won’t work, they’ve got multiple ways of accessing data and don’t store it in one place
with this you can actually build and replace tools using Claude

Pprofitability +inventory + keyword rank monitoring + cvr and ctr benchmarking dashboards, all buildable in Claude cowork

scheduled tasks like inventory check alerts and executive summaries delivered straight to your slack
core skills like product market research, ppc video ad generators, alexa optimized listing generators

specialized skills you use occasionally like tariff refund recovery, reimbursement finder, browse node optimizer

you can even add slack as a complete agent to your team and it remembers context and sops like any other team member, might even react to messages with funky emojis lol

19 out of 20 brand owners don’t even use Claude for keyword research or intent groupings please understand that Claude has intelligence built into it. the tools most people rely on, ad automators, benchmarkers, helium 10 and the rest, don’t have real intelligence. they can’t take a keyword list and group everything by intent. Claude will do that in seconds

Coming back to Amazon only ( easier tweaks ) I think these will also help as I think they’re street smart and really help when you’re tight with your ppc situation

1) We think Amazon distributes spend equally across a campaign because that’s the mental model most sellers default to. Amazon doesn’t work that way. Amazon makes money off you by getting you more clicks not more profit. so inside a multi sku campaign the top sku eats the majority of impressions and spend while the others, some of which could’ve been more profitable, never get a real shot. same story with keywords, the top 5 soak up all the spend while the other 45 sit there collecting dust with zero data to show for it

2) fix that by keeping campaigns tight, single sku focus with no more than 10 keywords per ad group so every product and keyword actually had room to generate real data

3) properly test campaign types and match types according to your target cpc. do the math, if you want 30% acos and your conversion rate is 15% your target cpc is roughly $1.2 to $1.4. whatever match type or campaign brings sales closer to that cpc is your winning campaign, usually phrase or exact or broad match modifiers

4) do not panic when acos spikes for a week. you’ll go into phases where it shoots up and you feel like burning the whole account down. wait, monitor why it’s happening. rarely is it wasted spend, chances are you’re gaining rank on relevant search terms
target misspellings of competitors you can position against once you’ve got enough reviews, low cpc and it quietly chips at their loyalty

5) Sset up a brand defense portfolio early with cross product targeting and branded keywords once you cross meaningful monthly revenue

5) b2b campaigns through ppc with business audience targeting bring in orders at acos levels consumer campaigns will never reach. if you’ve got multi packs test it out

7) broad match modifiers are still underused by a lot of competitors which keeps cpc low and coverage wide

8) sponsored brand banner campaigns using amazon’s generative ai for the creative work better than they should. don’t ask me why, the creatives look rough but ctr is surprisingly high lol

9) every niche has one particular combo of words future customers are searching for that should be in the bullet headings. going through the search query performance report monthly and finding queries with a growing purchase rate is how you catch it early, this can be automated through Claude with results dumped into a google doc for review
