A disturbing trend in Bangladesh Education sector
In 2024, the total number of SSC examinees were 2,024,192
In 2024, the total number of SSC examinees were 1,928,970
In 2024, the total number of SSC examinees were 1,857,344
We can see the same trend in HSC
In 2024, the total number of SSC examinees were 1,331,058
In 2024, the total number of SSC examinees were 1,251,111
In 2024, the total number of SSC examinees were 1,270,583
There is a gap of almost 200K students when comparing SSC examinees of 2024 and 2026, and in case of HSC the gap is around 60K, though almost 800K less students give HSC when compared to SSC.
This is outright terrifying. Less people are giving exams than ever, kids are getting married off whilst the society wholeheartedly supports child marriage and vilifies those who stand against it, and to top it all off over 700K students failed SSC this year.
What is the fate of our country if things continue like this?
