Do i wait or no
18, father malaysian mother indonesian. The thing is, my dad had an ex-wife which refused to divorce my dad for whatever reason, so my parents werent married when i was born so i had no ic.
My original plan was to just get a indonesian citizenship since malaysian ic is close to impossible according to my situation.
However, recently my father had been talking about a divorce with his ex-wife, which means if they do my mother can marry him and i can get ic. The only problem is that it might range from 1-5 years to process, which i consider very long because i am already 18 and if i have no citizenship i cant go to uni.
If i get indonesian citizenship, it means i couldnt get malaysian ic anymore. But if i wait, i get malaysian ic.
Do i wait or not? This has been on my mind for the longest time ever and everytime i think about it i just want to cry from the pressure. Help!
