My stubble is irritating my girlfriends chin. What can i do to alleviate this?

Hi all,

I've (28M) been dating my girlfriend (23F) for a couple months now and we're running into the issue where whenever we kiss or make out, she gets mad irritation on her chin leaving it very red and sensitive. Anytime I see her, I make sure to shave right beforehand so it's as short as possible but we're still having issues. Has anyone here had a similar issue? If so, what did you do to alleviate it? My facial hair grows in very patchy and looks terrible if I grow it out, so not sure that's an option unless there's things I can do to grow it out fuller. I personally prefer keeping it shaved anyway but am willing to make a change if it means she can be more comfortable.

Tl;dr: stubble is irritating gf's chin, what can I do to alleviate this?
