Title: South Bronx Job Corps application under Health & Wellness review — I may be homeless in a week. What can I do?
Hi everyone, I’m looking for advice from anyone who has experience with South Bronx Job Corps.
My application was already transferred from Admissions to the South Bronx Job Corps Center. I’ve called basically every number I could find and tried contacting the center multiple times.
Admissions told me that my application is currently under Health & Wellness review. They told me I could contact the center directly, but when I finally reached someone at South Bronx Job Corps, they just told me to be patient and keep checking my email.
The problem is that my situation is extremely urgent. I only have about one week before I have to leave the place where I’m currently staying. If I don’t get a start date or some kind of help from Job Corps during this time, I may end up homeless.
I understand that the review process takes time, but I’m trying to figure out if there is anything I can do to explain my emergency situation to someone who can actually look at my application.
Has anyone here dealt with the Health & Wellness review at South Bronx Job Corps?
Is there a specific Health & Wellness number, staff member, manager, or office I should contact?
Would going to the South Bronx Job Corps center in person help?
And if anyone is currently a student at South Bronx Job Corps, do you know who I could speak with about an urgent housing situation like this?
I’m not trying to skip the process. I just really need someone at the center to understand how urgent my situation is.
Any advice or contact information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
