Friend obsessed with Asian Culture

Hi all,

I was not sure where to post this so I thought I’d start here. I (F23) have been friends with a girl (F23) for a few years from college to now postgrad. Since we’ve been friends, she has always been super into K-pop and specifically Korean culture, which is fine, everyone has their thing. But the issue is, she also only dates/matches with Asian men on dating sites. There was also a point where she was obsessed with talking about having mixed Asian babies. Lastly, I’ve noticed a trend in whenever we make plans, it’s always to an Asian restaurant, Hmong, Korean, Japanese, etc.

I’m not a part of the Asian-American community myself and am not well-versed enough to determine for myself if this is weird/fetishizing or not. It makes me feel weird specifically because of her comments about having “mixed babies.” She is not Asian herself and we don’t have any Asian friends, outside of her boyfriend who is 1/2 Korean.

Looking for outside opinions and advice on maybe how to address this with her.
