Birthday gift suggestions for a 15 yr old girl!

My niece is turning 15.

She's very bright (gifted), artistic, and of course, really into chatting with her friends.

She's active but not athletic per se. She's very busy with school and activities, and lives out of town so she can't do that much beyond her current after school roster. Starting high school this Fall.

I've usually given her artsy things, magazine subscriptions, clothes (when I'm there), etc. Easier in person and when she was younger.

Any suggestions, kits, gift cards? Flexible budget but approx $100-150 seems about right for her age. Located in Ontario. So far I'm just thinking a Simons gift card even though I'd rather something like an arts supply store.
