Anyone ever tried to build purchase history by buying watches as “gifts” for friends?

E.g., I have a friend trying to buy a Cartier watch - can I bring her to the AD to try them on and then buy it for her and have her reimburse me later?

Seems like a win win because my friend was just going to buy directly from Cartier and doesn’t care about her purchase history there, and my AD would get to make another sale.

We would just cloud it a bit to make it look like I was buying the watch.
