parking tips for karol g at sofi in inglewood on august 14

the absolute hardest part about getting to sofi stadium coming from out of town is the sheer scale of the traffic bottlenecks around century boulevard and prairie avenue especially for a huge tour like mañana será bonito. if you show up an hour before the show starts you are going to be sitting in a gridlock nightmare for forty five minutes just trying to turn into a lot so you have to commit to arriving at least two or three hours early if you want any peace of mind. the on site parking at sofi is actually managed through parkwhiz and for a show this size it is usually divided into colored zones like the brown, orange, and purple lots which are closest to the stadium entrances. prices for these on site spots are typically between eighty and one hundred and twenty dollars depending on how close you want to be but they sell out weeks in advance so if you do not have a reservation already you are basically forced to look elsewhere.

if you want to save about half that cost the city of inglewood runs a program called iparkandgo which uses off site garages like the one at 400 west beach avenue or the civic center at 1 west manchester boulevard. these usually cost around forty to fifty dollars and they include a shuttle bus that drops you off right at the stadium transit center which is much easier than trying to navigate the immediate stadium perimeter yourself. the shuttle lines can get pretty long after the concert ends though so be prepared to wait thirty minutes in line once the show is over to get back to your car. another solid move is the park and ride from the hawthorne and lennox station where you can leave your car in the metro lot for twenty five dollars and take the line 117 bus or the free shuttle they sometimes run for major events which is way cheaper than any of the private lots closer to the stadium.

walking through the neighborhoods north and east of the stadium is your best bet if you want a faster exit because you can bypass the main lot exits that take forever to clear out. it is common to see people standing on their lawns holding cardboard signs because many homeowners nearby use prked to list their private driveways for fans who want a guaranteed spot and a quick getaway. most of these spots go for fifty or sixty dollars and you usually end up with a ten to fifteen minute walk but it is worth it because you are parked behind the traffic lines and can hit the side streets to get back to the 405 or 105 much faster. if you are planning on using uber or lyft just know that the designated rideshare zone is at kareem court and it is a total mess after the show with massive surge pricing so you are better off walking a mile away to a local restaurant or gas station before trying to call a ride.
