These LORs man. Anyone else have mentors say yes then just not write one?

Application Guidance

“The worst they can say is no”. Actually, the worst they can say is yes and then ghost you😭 I took a community college course, a prerequisite biology class, and build as much rapport as I could over the semester with the professor. In the final weeks, I personally asked if she would write me an LOR. She was a bit hesitant saying she’s only known me for the semester, and I explained that being an older post-bacc student means most of my classes are online and I was hoping she could speak to my academic abilities and potential to succeed in further biology classes. She said yes of course, asked that I send her some background on myself, which I did and also expressed my gratitude. She gave me the email to use.

It’s been 2 months and she didn’t respond to the email, the VMCAS request, or the follow up. At this point I think she’s going to ghost me.

On a separate note, I asked another CC professor last fall to write me a letter via email after the class ended and he never responded.

Perhaps this is a trial in adversity but even asking is so humbling, let alone the whirlwind of not knowing whether they are even going to write one.
