One month since quitting
So it's been a month. July 10th 2026 I quit vaping. I quit cigarettes in 2020. So the past month has been officially nicotine free for the first time since I was maybe 15 or so. Im 42 now. Anyway the past couple weeks the depression is absolutely real. For a few days I felt like a black hole. Just staring into space like I didn't want to do anything at all. I was never a crier but I would cry almost immediately at thoughts that would typically just make me feel a little sad. Thinking about my childhood or better days in my life and I would just break down. I still feel very depressed. I can't bring myself to do much of anything I used to enjoy. Is it normal for me to feel this bad even after a month? Can such intense depression (and some anxiety) still be so intense?? I don't really crave nicotine at all. In fact I don't want it. I am glad to be done with it. But wtf is with these psychological effects??
