Server shut down while I was fighting a zombie, am I dead?

Pretty much title sums it up. I was melee fighting a zombie when the server suddenly shut down, and I was wondering whether or not my character will die upon rejoining. Does the zombie only start moving once I can also play the game, or am I dead before getting out of the loading screen? My PC is 6 years old and while not the slowest in the world, it's definitely not fast either
