I reported 13 comments from one post for calls for violence and credible threats to safety. Facebook only removed 2.
**NOT ABOUT POLITICS! FACEBOOK MODERATION!**
This is a concern about facebook moderation and I'm wondering if anyone has any insight. Please do not make this a political debate.
I recently came across a post related to an election (MI Primary to be exact). The post itself didn't have information about what was happening in MI so I took a look at the comments to see what was happening. Reply after reply talked about needing to stock up on weapons and ammo, needing to "take matters into [our] own way", calling on MI's militia, and "exercise our [2A] rights and start to eliminate this threat on our own". The post that really got me, that wasn't removed after I appealed it, was "it's time for good men to do bad things". The picture attached to the comment was the poster's sn*per r*fle.
Only 2 of the reports resulted in the comment being taken down and that was after needing to request a review of all of them. I reviewed the community guidelines, and all of the comments were in violation.
How do I either advocate or call attention to this? If this is all happening on one post, it has to mean that there are a million more posts and comments out there like this. I'm all for free speech and exercising your amended rights. And, I'm concerned about how Facebook responds (or, doesn't respond) when there are safety concerns.
