Delta flight via chase portal

I booked a flight through the chase portal with delta airlines using my points. My grandmas health unexpectedly is declining quickly and I can’t miss her funeral. Delta said I can get an ecredit but I can’t downgrade my seat (delta main classic) and I have to use all the points in one booking or I forfeit the rest. I had specific days for this trip so I paid more than I ever would for a flight so idk if there’s anywhere I would use all of them. Is there any luck of getting my points reimbursed through chase?
