Need additional opinions on if posting

Hi!

I need opinions on if me posting a list of items I need for my new apartment o Facebook to family and friends is a bad idea. My birthday is in October and I moved into my new apartment in may.

Here's some context. I'm a mom of two littles and I made sure their room was completely done first, so they are all set. I went through a divorce and was living with my parents for a few month and got into an emergency apartment because it was really difficult to live with them. I lost pretty much everything In the divorce cause my main priority was my kids. it wasn't a good relationship and he was neglectful amongst other things.

I lived in that other apartment for a year and tried to get things here and there but I was also going to school and running my business. Now im in a way better apartment and really love this space but I don't have a table or chair, tv, my towels are old and ruined, and I need a bookshelf. I've posted in groups asking if anyone is selling those items but I also don't have a car that can fit them and they want 400+. I've also searched for months on marketplace and just found a couch but people sell way to fast or won't hold it for me to find a truck to borrow or deliver. (which I ca understand) I've gone to thrift stores and im not located in the best spot items are almost destroyed or super expensive.

I am finally out of school and my business is just starting to take off but with two little kids, im balancing so much financially. I tried to ask my mom what she thought and she thought it was silly and said it might be because she's from a different generation. but basically it wasn't important enough of an event like a wedding or baby shower.

I just want this space to feel like a home for my kids and I want it to be a little more organized for my sanity.

so what's your opinion? is it dumb to do?
