Starting Nursing School!
I graduated from college with a non-nursing bachelor's degree in 2022. Since then, I've worked a few different patient facing jobs and now I'm in more of an administrative clinical research role (WFH). When I was in college, I contemplated switching to my school's BSN program but felt like it was too late since I was already in my third year. Four years post grad and I can honestly say that becoming a nurse has been on my mind ever since, and I am finally taking a leap and starting a program in spring 2027! I am very fortunate that my city has many options for nursing schools and I was able to find a part-time evening/weekend diploma program that will allow me to continue my full-time job while in school. It will take me longer to achieve a BSN since I'm just starting with the diploma program to become an RN, but it's worth it to me and I have to remind myself that there's no rush! I'm still in my twenties and will graduate before I'm 30. It is going to be tough, but I am extremely excited to start this next chapter. Wishing everyone here good news and a successful nursing journey!
