Spotify Connect Renaming Speaker Pairs without Permission

I have 4x Era 100s paired into two sets of two. Recently moved into a new apartment and renamed the speaker pairs. One set is named "Bedroom" and one set is named "Living Room" inside the Sonos app. However, whenever my partner uses Spotify Connect to play his music on either pair of speakers, both speaker pairs revert in the Sonos app to their previous names at our old apartment. "Living Room" is changed to "Master Bedroom" and "Bedroom" is changed to "Office."

This does not happen when I play music through the Sonos app directly. And no matter how many times I rename the speaker pairs in the Sonos app, the second he plays music through either speaker pair via Spotify Connect, they instantly revert their names. Why does Spotify Connect have edit access to the naming portion of the Sonos app? Any suggestions on how to stop this from happening?

Unhelpful suggestions include:

- Don't use Spotify Connect / use Airplay instead etc

- Ignore the speaker names / just get used to it etc
