Laparoscopy tomorrow, feeling scared
I’m having a laparoscopy scheduled tommrow and I am terrified. I have been trying to solve my ovarian cyst for three years with hormonal birth control and they don’t go away. Some have ruptured but then came back. I haven’t been dealing with much pain but in may when I went for a checkup and the cyst were still there he gave me three options of getting a laparoscopy, living with the pain, or adding on additional hormone pills to my birth control. He said he would go with the laparoscopy to rule out if I have ENDO. The pain hasn’t been unbearable recently but now I’m having second thoughts, I called my doctor for clarification and he did give some but then ended on a point that in his 25 years he’s only had three mess ups during the surgery and he considers it a simple surgery. What was everyone’s experience with it like? Need reassurance please!!
I do like my doctor and trust him but him saying that kinda scared me. I also think I had a cyst rupture in July so I am just scared they won’t find anything.
