Sometimes, the customer isn't always right!! There's always two sides to a story
A customer recently left a Google review claiming she and her dog were "kicked out" for no reason and that she was discriminated against. That's not what happened!!
When she entered the store, her dog was extremely aggressive and almost attacked a child who was simply playing nearby. The dog couldn't be calmed down and was completely out of control.I made the decision to tell her the dog couldn't remain in the store for safety reasons.
She conveniently left out the part where her dog nearly injured someone. Other customers had also witnessed the dog's aggressive behavior in the parking lot before she even came inside.
Our store is generally very relaxed about customers bringing dogs. This was about one specific dog whose behavior was a safety risk.
I was called to the office for a "talk" but no one even checked the cameras to see how tense the situation was. If I had let her go on, I still would've gotten in trouble for not intervening, the dog would've still attacked someone, he was overstimulated .There wasn't enough time to call manager to come address an aggressive dog. I was only CEC in that vicinity and I made what I thought was a good decision in that moment.
