Are there any rules around arranging your board?

I've seen people arrange their cards in all sorts of weird ways. Lands in front, lands off to one side, library and graveyard on opposites sides, mana rocks with lands, and many more. Are there any rules about how you arrange your permanents or is it a case of anything goes as long as you're not being intentionally confusing?
