I suspect peri + the patch are increasing my hypermobility

audited

I’m about to turn 40. I’ve been on progesterone for almost 6 months and on the patch for almost a month. I’ve also got hypermobility and I’m a hair dresser so I’m on my feet a lot, but I do have a rolling stool for the times I just need a moment. Anyway…

I strongly suspect that peri + being on the patch is making my hypermobility worse. I have a lot of muscle from years of sports and weightlifting but I’m about a week out from my next period and my back hurt so much after I finished work yesterday that I felt nauseous. I always have some minor degree of back pain, and It’s likely not discs and probably more muscular or structural but I’ve never had it be this bad.

Does anybody else relate? If so, do you have any suggestions for things that have helped you, either during your work day or after? Could it be the patch that is exasperating things? I have felt so good for the last three weeks, I really hope that’s not the case 😭
