Most overrated fighters
Most overrated fighters in Westeros have to be
2 Jamie Lannister: next to no feats or accomplishments gives a good performance on the battlefield against Rob but is overcome, struggles so much with his left hand makes you wonder what was even there to begin with. Is the youngest kings guard member but that’s mostly areys pissing off tywin. Overall Jamie is good at stabbing old men in the back and the odd tourney but he’s not very battle tested.
1 Arthur Dayne: only over Jamie because of the sheer amount of glazing he gets. Sure he took out a famous rouge knight after he was fatigued from a previous fight. He demands respect but people talk about him like he farted valor and greatness. Even his cousin even hints that Arthur’s career could be seen through rose tinted glasses by many, noting “he had a pretty sword” and not much else. Dayne even supposedly falls to ned stark and his nut squad of healthy dudes leftover from the trident(supposedly going by books)
Fighters completely worthy of their titles:
Robert Baratheon: 6ft6 260lbs so strong that no one could lift his massive war hammer. Fought 3 battles in a single day the stamina alone required is crazy. Killed 6 named knights while wounded during the battle of the bells including nearly killing Jon connington. Killed rhaegar the last dragon ending whatever support areys had left. If he didn’t let himself go he’d be held in alot higher regard.
Barristan Selmy: hands down Barristan cannot be touched when it comes to feats. Unhorsing sir Duncan the tall at the age of 15! Slaying meyles the monstrous.
Tearing his way through duskendale ignoring an arrow in his side. Killed dozens of good friends of Ned and Robert during the rebellion. Not to mention still being fighting fit and the most dangerous kings guard member well into his 60s. Honestly barristan cannot be overhyped.
