I got tired of rewriting my resume for every job application, so I built a free tool to do it for me

Like a lot of people job hunting right now, I was rewriting my resume from scratch for every single application. It got old fast, so I built ResumeMatch to automate it.

How it works:

- Upload your resume (PDF) and paste in a job description

- It finds the gaps between your resume and the role (missing keywords, skills, ATS-relevant phrasing)

- Suggests specific rewrites for your bullets, summary, and skills section — you approve or skip each one individually; nothing changes automatically

- Pick a template and export a clean PDF

- Can also draft a tailored cover letter for the same job

It's completely free right now (no signup wall) while I gather feedback: https://www.resumematch.org/

I'm a student and built this solo, so there are some rough edges. Genuinely want to know: does this actually help, what's confusing, and what's missing? Happy to answer any questions about how it works, too.
