I need to buy a new Ipad. Which one should I buy?

Should I get the Ipad air or will the basic one do?

Also what storage would suffice?

I'd been using the ipad Air 5th generation previously but now it isn't working due to some circuit issue

Could you please suggest as to which one should I buy?
