Lifetime price lock no longer “lifetime”??

I switched to 5G home internet when they were first offering it, along with the “lifetime price lock”. A little over a year later, my internet cost has increased 20% in this month’s bill. Anyone else experience this? I’m on hold with support right now, they’re claiming that the original plan was sunsetted and now we’re on a new plan with a 5 year price lock guarantee.

Seems a bit shady or not legal. What exactly does “lifetime” mean if not FOR LIFE?
