A Barrie martial arts instructor who was heavily involved in the community is facing 11 new charges after more alleged victims came forward in an ongoing child sexual assault case.

Police say the charges against 28-year-old Daniel Tallim stem from an investigation launched back in May, when he was initially charged with three sexual offences involving a child.

Tallim is the sole proprietor of Alpha Martial Arts on Little Avenue in Barrie and has been involved in the city’s martial arts community for several years, said investigators.
