News of the Week: August 8 2026

What's New This Week

• Today: Rampant AQ Begins (unless you choose to run regular maps instead)
• Today: The Tower's Weekly Essentia Event starts its new Monday refresh schedule
• Wednesday: Epilogue Part 2, featuring Cerastes and Glykhan
  • Expect a similar format to chapter 1
  • Must be ELDER to access the quest, completion/exploration of Act 9 alone is insufficient. If you are not Elder yet, that's totally fine. As a reminder, this is Permanent Content
• Wednesday: REVENGE OF LEGENDS Event, contains multiple factors to it (half of it won't begin until the second half of the event, two weeks from now. See: Upcoming Events section for more detail)

  • 6 New Ascendable Champions in the Box: G99, Colossus, Moondragon, Dragon Man, Terrax, and Spider-Man
    • Elders can earn up to 9 free keys
    • Paragon and Valiant can earn 7
    • TB can earn 4
    • If you don't want to use these keys, they can be traded in for 7-Star Crystal Shards after the event ends, post Sept 9
  • Revenge of Legends Quest (featuring an encounter design collaboration with Seatin)
    • 3-4 Bosses each week, ending in a gauntlet that uses all 11
    • Completing each quest earns points towards the Realm Event
    • There is a 7-Star Green Goblin Stellar Forged piece in an Objective related to this
  • Revenge Realm Event
  • Retribution of Legends Side Quest
    • This will be easier/more accessible than Revenge of Legends, think your regular side quest level of content. You can read (a little) more about this [HERE]
• Wednesday: Battlegrounds Season 41 - read about the meta [HERE]
  • This is not the one with the Green Goblin piece, that will be September
  • I am unsure if there are any Mystery Orbs

What's Ending This Week:

• Today: First Appearance Silk Battlepass
  • This is ending within a few hours, so if you bought it and you still haven't finished it yet, you better hurry up. Roll some Spider champs down RTTL
  • There is a visual bug where it'll say all objectives done when you're near the end, ignore that and keep fighting, you can still earn points
• Tuesday: Alliance War Season
  • End of Part 1 of 2 Trial Seasons featuring the full-heal
• Wednesday: Black Tarantula's Secret Stash
  • These are the Boxes in the store that you open with Pry Bars
  • If you want to gain all of the rewards for free, you need to complete your EQ before the Solo Objective for it ends in the upcoming days
• Wednesday: Towers Radiance Ranked Event
  • Keys reset in a few hours if you are planning on making a last-minute push for a higher rank.
  • Last time, the Event-end timer and the Reward Payout-timer were offset by a day. Now they appear to be aligned. I'm not sure if that means rewards are being sent out sooner, or if this is a visual error.
• Sunday: Stellar Forged Blade Awakening/Solo Objective
  • TAKE NOTE: This is a weird one, this is ending TWO hours before the reset time. And on a Sunday. No, I don't know why it's weird. Maybe a knock-on from when the added the extension.

Upcoming Events:

• August 26: Revenge of Legends Part 2
  • The 7-Hour Crystal returns, along with the usual double up offer
  • There will be Revenge of Legends Battlepass
  • The usual Legends arenas
    • Solo Event for Additional Rewards, including Empowered Crystals and Elder Saga Crystals for Elder players, and 2025/2026 2-Star Crystals for my fellow collectors
• August 31: Alliance Coliseum, featuring Mr. Negative as the boss
  • Returns to 3-Day version

Ongoing Events:

• Apex Coliseum: 23d left
• Epilogue: this is permanent content, but it's still rolling out over the next couple months
• Maiden Mother Crone (August EQ): 30d left

Known Issues/Misc Information/FAQ:

• FAQ: "Why can't I enter the Epilogue when the tooltip says I need to complete Act 9?" This text is incomplete, you need to be Elder as well
• FAQ: "Where is the map update to Rampant AQ as listed in the Patch Notes" I honestly don't know. I have asked, have not yet received an answer
• FAQ: "I had the option to claim several selectors, but I actually only received one item" This is a visual bug caused by claiming another selector that contains multiple items (for example claiming the 3x T6cc selectors from DSE Milestone 2), making following selectors you claim appear to be a similar quantity. You will still only receive as many rewards as show in the Solo Event's reward milestones.
• AQ ended early last week due to an issue with Map Modifiers not functioning. Ranked and Peak Milestones be distributed based on each Alliance's most recent standard AQ ranking. No exact timeline for this was mentioned, but it might be around the usual AQ reward time today (but don't quote me on this). I don't know if this includes map rewards/Raid tickets.
