Childhood trauma and adult relationships

hello, I’ve been seeing a guy who has a very good and healthy family life, and I really like being around him. but he’s starting to point out some weird and unhealthy behaviors to me that I didn’t realize I did, like I probe before I give him straight answers and he says it makes it awkward and he rather me be straight up, or I want to spend everyday with him constantly and he said that we need to have our own lives and space if we are a couple. I agree, he’s one of those people who has a very healthy out look on things so when I bring up stuff on the topic of my mom, I always show her a lot of grace since she is my only parent(my dad died when I was 3) and she got pregnant with me at 18, so I know she was kinda jerk to me but I know she hadn’t matured herself before she became a mother, but I was talking about her last night and he was like “you know that’s incredibly toxic of her” and it was in regards to her excluding me from a trip I wanted to go on with her, and I thought it was kinda funny that she did that since I just looked at her location and she was already there, but he was telling me he knows I give her a lot of grace but she doesn’t have to treat me like shit. I have only been dating him for a month, and idk how to feel about it. I’ve been pretty open and honest about my upbringing being pretty abusive, when it comes to the adverse childhood experiences (ace quiz) i experienced everything but having a parent incarcerated. I feel like i overshared my abuse, but i just wanted to be honest with and share with him what I’ve experienced because i think it gives context to who i am. i am overall a pretty weird girl, not in like a cool in trendy way but in like a socially unacceptable kind of way. he said that’s what he liked about me that i was weird and funny. so I guess that’s a win but also i am afraid that i have a lot of these issues of abandonment and fear of being rejected because of my upbringing and I just don’t know if people like me can actually be with someone who hasnt been around that. I think maybe he can help me get on track to having stable relationships with others with his guidance in this relationship, but is that shitty of me to expect that. what kinda work can I do to form not such a chaotic and fearful relationship with someone.
