Was Tolkien inspired my anything Slavic?

In the Legenderium tolkien has a lots of lingustic and mythological inspiration from different cultures, mainly Germanic, Celtic and Norse.

I was wondering if tolkien was ever inspired by slavic culture and if so what, as I have never heard of something in his legendarium as being inspired by a slavic language or myth.
