Anyone install a 240v charger in front of their townhouse? (No garage)

I have a townhouse and currently have a 120v in front of it. One potential issue is the cable for a car charger would have to cross the sidewalk to reach my car. Just wondering has anyone done this?

From the current 120v to my car is about 30 feet, can you even have a 240v cable that long?
