I didn’t realize how much trail riding there is around Kitchener-Waterloo
I’ve been exploring the trails around Kitchener-Waterloo and have been surprised by how many different trails can be connected together, even if there are a few road sections in between.
I recently rode from Fairview Park Mall ION Station to Victoria Park ION Station, taking the long way around. It ended up being about 12 km and mostly on trails, with some short sections on public roads.
I recorded the ride and put together a map of the route for anyone who might be interested in exploring it:

It’s not one continuous trail — it’s a collection of smaller trails and paths connected by some road sections — but I thought it was an interesting I’m doing these rides as part of a small project called KW Rails and Trails, documenting routes around the region and showing what they’re actually like to ride.
I’m curious — what towns or cities have you found with interesting bike trails or trail networks? Are there other places in Ontario where you’ve found interesting routes or trail connections worth checking out?
