PCOS + ARFID advice needed

General/Advice

Hello! I am 14 and afab with diagnosed PCOS around a year ago. My gynecologist recommended to my mom that I would need to change my diet and cut down on foods with carbs. The issue is, my whole life I’ve struggled horribly with my eating habits and always found it difficult to eat things like vegetables, mixed foods (like literally almost any mexican dish, and before you ask I am mexican american) and just really any new foods. Sometimes I feel actual fear, like I feel worse about the thought of eating a soup more than being scolded by anyone. It gets to the point where my stomach cramps and sometimes it even makes me gag. It’s awful and it makes me feel like a black sheep whenever I eat in ANY social setting.

last week was the last time my mom would get me medicine for my pcos and told me I had to seriously change my diet. I really just don’t know what to do and I feel a lot of shame knowing I suffer over eating something that feels weird in my mouth. I feel lost and I hope this sub has any tips for me.
