Is it worth it for a new player?

I played for a few hours at launch, but I didn't have time for another gacha game back then.

Is it worth to join now?

Have to say that i'm a waifu collector and i've heard about scandal with some romance arc beetwen one girl and some npc guy or whatever which was deleted later.

What is it game now? Is it an honest harem simulator? Is it worth to spend time? Is the game growing, or is it stagnating as a niche title?
