How are people with neo pronouns navigating their pronouns in offline spaces?

Non-judgemental, just genuinely curious! I'm a queer person with non-binary friends and I've just never encountered any friends or community members who use neo pronouns in offline spaces. Usually they're using they/them or mixed they/she/he pronouns.

Are the folks using neo pronouns introducing their pronouns on a more interpersonal basis and then other pronouns in public spaces (ie. friends know they know xe/xir feels best, but using they in public)?
