A&W free float is a scam to got you to spend more

Don't be fooled by the A&W free rootbeer float scam - not designed to celebrate their own self-created "National Float Day", but to squeeze more cash out of you when you try to redeem this bogus offer.

The promo isn't free to start with, but requires a minimum spend of 2 dollars. I ordered 10+ dollars worth of food on the app and received a QR code for the free float. But when I went to the store to pick up the order I was told that i needed to place ANOTHER order in-store to get the free float ???

After some discussion, the manager agreed to refund my order and let me re-order everything, only to change his mind when he saw that I had used a coupon to place the initial order (which does NOT compromise the free float offer since I still met the minimum spend).

His response was to contact customer service - which I immediately did. They do not have a human but you have to send an email ....which I did. Crickets from them .....by comparison, I contacted Pizza Nova a while back regarding an issue (also by email) and they responded within AN HOUR, took full ownership of the issue, and resolved it immediately. Brave Pizza Nova ....Take a lesson A&W !!
