careers in ornithology?

Idk if this is exactly the right sub for this or if this question is asked often so if it is forgive me

I really like birds, I think they’re fascinating, and I would like to go into a career with them but I don’t really know what like field or whatever. I kinda want to do something with conservation but I’d also like to work hands-on. So any suggestions of fields I should look into and stuff?
