Fox Bot has ruined Mint Customer Service

Mint used to be outstanding for their customer service. A few years ago, I could log onto their website and chat with a person who would solve my problem better and faster than I ever imagined. The wait times were short to nonexistent, and I genuinely never had to call the company. With old Mint, simple problems stayed simple.

That all changed in the last few years. Their Fox Bot is extremely obstructive. It's not enough to tell it you want to speak to a human. It taunts you and asks if you're sure, using different tones and buttons to bait you into a bot support loop. A few weeks ago, I had to demand three times to speak to a human. Now they seem to have fixed this, and replaced the problem with a new one. There is now a fake waiting room that I've been in for an hour, waiting for a customer service rep who is probably not coming.

They shipped my replacement SIM card "priority overnight" with FedEx over a week ago, and now it's circling around the country and I can't even get ahold of anyone at Mint. It's a huge bummer, because I know the customer service people could help me, but the system is only as good as its big dumb weak-link bot.

Ryan Reynolds, why did you foresake us?
